Interior painting: Walls, Trim, Ceilings, and Cabinets.

Prep the Room

  1. Cover the floors around the area to be painted with drop cloths.
  2. Cover and protect any furniture in the room.
  3. Remove all electrical faceplates.
  4. Tape and paper base boards.
  5. Fill all holes with painter’s putty.
  6. Caulk any cracks with acrylic latex caulk.

Ceilings

  1. Paint ceilings.

Walls

  1. Clean walls prior to painting.
  2. Cut in & roll out walls keeping a wet edge to maintain uniform sheen.
  3. Back roll walls to maintain uniform sheen.
  4. Remove paper, tape, and clean up lines while paint is still wet.
  5. After paint is dry, replace all electrical faceplates.

Cabinets, Doors, and Trim

  1. Prior to painting the walls we will  lightly sand everything.
  2. Fill any holes, dents, or cracks with Bondo®.
  3. Clean with liquid de-glosser and allow time to dry.
  4. Caulk and fill any areas that need smoothing.
  5. Spot prime and sand any areas that are bare.
  6. After painting the walls, we will apply enamel to all of the trim.
